Plodding Through
We are now beginning to plod through the scenes we have created so far and think about how they transition into each other. In todays rehearsal we recapped what we had done the day before in order to fill Chris in as he missed the last hour yesterday. Now that we have a strong frame and structure to work off the rehearsals are moving much quicker and a lot more seems to be getting achieved in short amounts of time. Here is what we received in our short two hour rehearsal:

7) Zoe’s Face Scene 1 – She needs to script these (has said she will for Monday) so that we can rehearse them properly – felt this one should just be Zoe saying ‘I’ve been stalked…’ as herself, to introduce her other persona’s later – We are moving the clothes rails in the background to pick up all the cast members ready for conveyor belt. – We then remove Zoe through the coat hangers too.
8) Conveyor Belt Scene - Chris walks on and begins conveyor belt scene, nothing has changed with the scene itself other than on the journey back, Jodie and Grace stay in the middle of the space doing the foot movement on the spot. Me and Pip then, still using the step make our way over to the other side holding two coats which we throw over Jodie and Grace… they then stop to put these on… which leads into their ‘Overlapping Scene’
9) Grace and Jodie Overlapping Scene – Decided that this needed to be learnt in order to rehearse with it properly and structure a movement with it. This will be looked at on Monday. However we did say that it needed to end with something relating to houses/boxes so it moves smoothly into the next scene… Jodie suggested that the text ends up talking about how Jodie has a nice house whilst Grace pretends she does. This section is ended when interrupted by Dan bringing on the piano loudly… Zoe then disrupts the piano by bringing on one of her characters again.
10) Zoe’s Faces 2 – Zoe comes forward and talks about Zoe again – she is brought off by the clothes rails.
11) Little boxes - Just added in a movement piece based on a loose idea I had to make us all do the same things with house boxes in our hands – Jodie choreographed this movement based on the idea and we mimicked this in rehearsal, Jodie has said she wanted to build upon this somehow. I said perhaps we stagger when we come in so that it builds more throughout the section.
12) Shakespeare Scene - We all separate to reveal Chris behind us who walks forward in a ‘dramatic way’ to begin his monologue. In this dramatic silence Dan starts by playing ‘medieval music’ – when finished he destroys the silence by removing the silence.
13) (Need to work out what goes here, thought maybe a scene by Pip!)
