Picnic Meeting:
Before rehearsing we arranged to meet to discuss the order in the hope of loosely structuring the material we had collected over the past couple of weeks. Here is the current order we agreed to work with for now:
1) Just Hanging – Sitting in coats (as audience walk in) – magic trick with handkerchiefs falls to say ‘W.E.L.C.O.M.E’
2) Barbershop – I suggested that then we set in the tune of the death song that comes later by (still in the coats) presenting a barbershop oct-ette version of it without words in the coats. A sort of introduction music.
3) Facts and Statistics Scene
4) Jodie Snobbery Scene
5) Next Pokey Head Scene
6) Man’s World
7) Zoe’s Many Face’s Introduction
8) Conveyor Belt
9) Jodie + Graces Overlapping Speech - A scene where they both say the same text but one is aimed towards snobs (Jodie) whereas the other is aimed towards normal folk (Grace)
10) Little Boxes - needs work on!
11) Shakespeare Translation Scene - also needs a bit more work on since yesterdays rehearsals

14) Carmen’s Patriotic Speech – the rest of us standing behind her in wigs and coats nodding!
15) Zoe’s Silent Rage - Zoe comes out in costumes and wigs and see’s that we are all in one too, this is her trait so she is pissed off that we have taken her role.
16) Awkward Silence
17) Dan’s Diversion - He begins to cartwheel to divert away from the silent awkwardness
18) Dan’s Audience Speech - you need me but you don’t need them!
19) Death Song - I then try to divert away from him by starting a song!
20) Conveyor Belt Reprise – Pip repeats the scene along Chris’ original but instead of talking about us all she talks about only herself
21) Meditation/Tai Chi
22) Sorry (a lot of us felt this is not a good ending so hope to find a better climax to end with
