In todays rehearsal we continued to run the material we had already made in order to make it tighter and run more smoothly. Towards the end of the rehearsal we also had a big discussion about and created a new potential ending. Jodie had to leave towards the end of the rehearsal because she had work so she was not here for the ending decision made today, however she agreed that we should make the decision without her before she left.
The Run Through:
All seemed to run relatively smoothly in this run, we spent time working out how things flowed into one another. We ran all the way through the performance a couple of times up to The Death Song, as we still do not have an ending.
The Ending Debate:
In todays rehearsal we set a large amount of time to solve the problem of the ending as we were all worried about this. We went through a lot of different suggestions and possibilities but it seemed we talked our way out of an idea before we had even began it. One idea stuck though at the very end of the rehearsal, we did not have much time to work on it but began. The idea was for Pip to say a story about coats in the French voice she was starting to develop, as she was already at the piano at this point. At the same time the rest of us returned to our coats and moved ourselves forward to return to our opening places for a repeat of Facts and Statistics.
The Pics:
I had offered to create the poster for the event and thought of an idea before of having the writing on one of the tags attached to the coats, and also that in the background we should have a red brick wall to bring in our company name in too. At the end of rehearsals Me Dan and Grace took a series of pictures to use as the base of the poster.
